Electricity is generated by a remote community energy project located in your utility zone.

The electricity generated is injected directly into your utility’s energy grid.

Your utility will then distribute the energy to you in the form of an on-bill energy credit. Any qualified customer located in the same utility zone as the community energy project can sign-up.

You will receive the on-bill energy credit each month securing immediate savings. You will share the free energy credit with the community energy owner, allowing for the growth of new community energy projects.
Community Distributed Generation gives any utility customer the chance to receive energy credits from local power sources located within your local electric utility zone.

Do I Need to Switch Utility Providers?
Do I Need to Switch Utility Providers? No. Becoming a member (subscriber) of a Distributed Generation Project will not have any effect on your utility provider. Your utility provider will remain the same for as along as you stay a subscriber.

Does my bill change?
No. Your utility bill will not change, however there will be a new line item stating a Community Distributed Generation Credit.

How does billing work?
As a subscriber you will continue paying your monthly Utility bill, however it will be reduced based on the credit you receive on the bill. You will also receive a separate invoice from goCDG Community Distributed Generation Owner, for a percentage of the credit you receive. The two bills you pay will be less than your original Utility bill, offering you instant savings.

What if I am registered with a Third Party Supplier?
If your current third party supplier sends you a separate monthly invoice (dual bill), your Community Distributed Generation Credits will have a lesser value. For greater Community Distributed Generation savings, reach out to your third party supplier and ask to be switched to Single Billing.

How can I monitor my savings and performance?
Once logged in and subscribed to a system, goCDG.com offers you daily to annual tracking of the system, your energy savings both desktop and mobile device friendly. Just login to gocdg.com and track the performance, anytime, anywhere.

What if I cancel, are there any Fees?
Each Community Distributed Generation Project will have different terms and conditions. On the product page of gocdg.com, please make sure to review the product offering and if there are any early termination fees.

How long can I stay a subscriber?
You can stay a subscriber for 20+ years. As long as you’re a customer of the local utility where Community Distributed Generation Project is located, you will continue to receive credits (savings).

Who is goCDG and what is my relationship to them?
goCDG is your CDG service provider and is not affiliated in any way with your utility company and/or the Community Distributed Generation Project owner. goCDG will tell the utility to allocate a portion of the electricity produced by the Community Distributed Generation Project to you in the form of on-bill credits. goCDG will collect a shared credit payment on behalf of the community Community Distributed Generation Project.
